• Deal with individuals locally you can meet in person. If it’s a posting from a President of Africa it’s a fake.
• Never wire funds
• Cash is king. Watch out for fake cashier checks & money orders. Banks will cash them and can then hold you responsible weeks later.
• Never give out financial information (bank account number, social security number, ebay/paypal info, etc.)
• Avoid deals involving shipping or escrow services. The deal should be done in person.
